Old School Versus The Education Tool For Today’s Learner
For
several
decades,
we
conducted
our
pre-licensing
classes
the
old
fashioned
way.
We
developed
textbooks
that
were
specifically
designed
for
the
State
where
the
student
would
be
licensed.
Then
we
would
hold
traditional
classroom
type
sessions
with
an
instructor.
At
the
end
of
class
sessions
the
student
would
be
prepared
to
sit
for
the
official
State
exam.
We
were
very
effective
in
getting
a
very
good
first-test
passing
ratio.
With
all
of
the
new
technology
today,
this
way
is
not the most effective, economically or convenient way for the student to learn.

Pre-Licensing
Pre-Licensing Course Design
Many
education
providers
teach
concepts
in
a
format
that
applies
to
multiple
states
and
tend
to
be
quite
broad.
They
do
not
focus
on
specific
state
requirements.
Our
courses
are
designed
to
follow
the
exam
outlines
exactly
as
provided
by
the
State
Insurance
Department.
This
ensures
that
you
will
learn
only
the
information
included
in
the
state
exam,
eliminating
the
need
to
study
material
that
you
will
not be tested on.
Our
objective
is
for
you
to
understand
the
material
that
will
be
on
the
test
and
concentrate
exclusively
on
that.
It
is
not
necessary
to
cover
every
aspect
of
all
insurance
concepts.
After
obtaining
your
license,
your
carrier(s)
will
offer
detailed
information
about
their
product
features,
marketing
procedures,
and
related topics.
The
official
State
Exam
is
based
on
many
subjects,
divided
into
sections.
Some
sections
are
large
and
some
are
small.
We
emphasize
the
need
to
learn
the
larger
sections
well.
The
State
Exam
will
contain
more questions based on the larger sections.
Design of Our Course Quizzes and Exams
There
will
be
section
quizzes
throughout
the
courses
you
take.
The
questions
closely
resemble
those
on
the
official
State
Exam.
All
our
quizzes
and
exams
include
explanations
for
the
correct
answers,
providing an additional learning resource.
The
official
State
Exam
covers
information
from
each
section
of
the
curriculum.
However,
not
all
sections
carry
equal
weight.
Some
sections
are
smaller
and
therefore
have
fewer
questions
than
larger
sections.
You
must
achieve
an
overall
passing
score
of
70%,
rather
than
passing
each
section
individually.
We
encourage
you
to
focus
more
on
the
larger
sections.
The
exams
in
our
courses
are
weighted to reflect the official State Exam.
